We had the pleasure of welcoming two industry experts this Fall 2023 into our Digital Business classes as part of the Fall 2023 Industry Speaker series.

Mary Tran joined us on Monday Nov 6, 2023. Mary Tran is the Design Lead at Futureproof, her role is to create compelling and innovative designs both traditionally and digitally for web and mobile applications. Mary shared with us her experience using Figma with her team to digitize lo-fi prototypes, create mockups, animations, and quick videos that can exported into TikTok, as well as interactive presentations. We also explored with Mary using the free templated resources through the Figma community.

Our second guest is Billal Qureshi (LinkedIn), Head of Mobile & Apps Experience at Google. Billal joined us in-person at Humber’s Lakeshore campus on Nov 13, 2023 for a great session on UX/UI design and shared his experience and career journey in the UX Design field at Google.

Billal and Mary shared practical tips to support our collaborative project with the TOUR 3000 class and the development of a Canadian Tourism App Prototype.
