Hey Humber Business Students!
Humber DECA team would like to officially welcome you all back to school, and we hope this year brings forth some incredible opportunities and memories for all of you!
We’d also like the chance to enhance your experience here at Humber by formally inviting you to a DECA U information session on Monday, September 14, 2015 in L3002 at 5:30PM.
We have had the incredible chance of going around and speaking with many of you during orientation week, during this time we had briefly covered what DECA U is and how it affects your college career. A lot of you also seemed to show keen interest in joining the team; we are stoked to see you guys on Monday!
For those that we were not able to reach, and those that are probably wondering what this e-mail is even about:
DECA is large Canadian business organization, we take some of the brightest minds in accounting, marketing, retail management, fashion management, and many other categories, and present them with the prospect of applying their classroom skills in real industry scenarios; thus, also giving you guys the chance to converse and work with active industry experts.
There are really three main incentives in this for you guys: networking, collaboration, and opportunity.
DECA’s scope for opportunity is endless guys; the DECA experience truly has no limits or boundaries. You are given the opportunity to mingle and compete with students from several different universities. You may choose to present individually or with a team in front of industry experts whom you may be interested in one day working or even interning for.
We’d love to share more details about exactly what DECA encompasses, and if you’re reading this right now and thinking “I could totally see myself doing that,” then please do not hesitate to join us in theL3002 at 5:30pm on Monday, September 14, 2015.
