On September 17, 2024, students from the FASH 3000 20th Century Fashion History and BUS 3003 e-Business Information Systems & Technologies courses met their professors, Francesca D’Angelo and Hanadi Alnawab, for an inspiring evening at the Royal Ontario Museum. The focus of the night was an in-depth exploration of UX design and museum curation.
The evening started with a session led by Dr. Sarah Fee, Senior Curator, Global Fashion & Textiles. Dr. Fee shared her expertise on museum curation and provided invaluable input on the requirements for a museum App.
We ventured into the world of UX Design through history, museum exhibits, and curation as we stepped into the shoes of our users exploring the first stage of the Design Thinking process, in preparation for designing our own App prototype for the Humber Fashion History museum, inspired by insights gained at Canada’s largest museum.
The Fashion History project is a collaborative initiative between the Fashion Management BComm program and the Digital Business Management BComm program at the Longo Faculty of Business, Humber College.
