I am very pleased to share that we received a grant from Ontario Centres of Excellence. The grant will provide funding for five e-business solutions with industry partners, to be completed by end of March 2016. Please read below about the VEBTA program.

VEBTA Program / Website Development

 

At Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning, Ontario’s small and medium sized enterprises have access to student skills, faculty expertise, and lab facilities to support the development and implementation of e-business and technology solutions that drive innovation.

Through the Voucher for E-Business and Technology Adoption program, Humber students and faculty will work directly with companies on projects that include e-business solutions and social media strategies. Students will develop information websites, set-up social media platforms based on the business needs, and provide companies with user manuals and one-on-one training sessions on how to maintain and update their websites.

Through the program, students will gain industrial experience that relates directly to their fields of study and will develop essential soft skills as they engage partners and work in multidisciplinary teams. Company partners will work with these skilled, motivated students to solve their business and innovation challenges using Humber’s facilities. The program will contribute to the training of highly qualified personnel and will result in new market opportunities and exposure for Ontario businesses.
