A day downtown Toronto at the Google office!
A group of students from the Digital Business Management BComm program & Marketing BComm program spent the morning of Tuesday May 2, 2023 at Google Canada’s office downtown Toronto, along with their Program Coordinators Hanadi Alnawab and Emily Gaszynski. Thanks to Ben Wise; Head of Programmatic Media at Google, and Program Advisory Committee member of the Digital Business Management BComm program for organizing this day of learning and inspiration!
The day started with a presentation on the Future of Digital Advertising by Amalia Galanis (LinkedIn), followed by an information session on Google’s Career Certificates, presented by Ana Tomas (LinkedIn).
The presentations were followed by a Career Panel with five Googlers, moderated by Ben Wise (LinkedIn), the panel included Trevor Cresswell (LinkedIn), Sophia Ngo (LinkedIn), and our very own Digital Business Management grad Kyle White (LinkedIn), along with Amalia and Ana. Our students had the chance to engage in a conversation with the panelists, and had their questions answered about careers at Google and the skills required for future jobs.
Our visit ended with a wonderful tour of the Google office and workspaces, led by the seven Googlers who generously shared their work day with us, and gave us the opportunity to get a glimpse into their careers at Google.
